Are you On the c.o.d. list?
STAY OFF THE C.O.D. LIST
The New York State Liquor Authority (NYSLA) keeps a Cash on Delivery (C.O.D.) list of liquor licensees who have been reported for delinquent payments by their wholesalers or distributors.
While wholesalers are required to notify licensees when they report them, these notifications are often unreliable. The email may go to the wrong person, get overlooked, or in some cases, a report may be filed due to a clerical error. The NYSLA itself is not required to notify you directly.
As a result, many restaurant and bar owners only discover they are on the C.O.D. list when a delivery is refused — creating sudden cash flow issues and operational headaches.
SLA Guard automatically checks the official NYSLA C.O.D. list and sends you immediate SMS or email alerts the moment your license status changes — so you can resolve issues proactively before they disrupt your business.
